2008 Specter Werkes Corvette GTR

This number one of only seven Chevrolet Corvette GTRs by Specter Werkes is for sale by only the second owner. With less than 18K miles on the odometer this sought-after special GTR has been well cared for and serviced properly. Modest improvements have been made to the original Specter Werkes build. 

This C6 Corvette GTR is powered by Specter Werkes Matrix II package for the LS3 engine. A 'Stroker' engine package that boosts displacement from 376 cubic inches (6.2L) to 416 cubic inches (6.8L). Accomplished with a Callie's 4340 forged crankshaft that delivers a 4.00-inch stroke. Forged rods from Manley and forged pistons from Mahle. The camshaft is a special grind from Comp Cams and the LS3 heads combustion chambers were enlarged from 71cc to 72cc to maintain an 11:1 compression ratio. With stainless steel long tube headers and low-restriction air intake the engine is rated at 535 horsepower and 530 lb-ft of torque.

Enhancements made by the current owner include a full body wrap. Superior handling is accomplished via custom Forgeline wheels fitted with Pirelli P-Zero tires under the extra-wide body, extended and widened by 4 inches beyond the stock C6 Corvette. The purchase includes three removable tops. One top is carbon fiber, one tinted glass and one fiberglass. Sold with a clear Colorado title. May not be suitable for areas requiring strict emissions testing.
